Workshop Supervisor wanted for excellent manufacturing company based in the Rugby/Daventry area

Salary £25 – £28k depending on skill level and experience.
45 hour a week contract
You will be responsible for 3 – 4 staff working within a clean manufacturing environment – so team leading or some supervisory experience is required, please.
The job will involve leading the workshop team, assigning jobs and tasks to engineers including new build, refurb and repair of equipment. This will include the maintenance and testing of workshop machinery in line with current Health and Safety legislation.
You will have day-to-day responsibility for all workshop engineers and you will be liaising with the company Customer Service Co-ordinators and members of the Senior Management Team.
The successful person will ensure a process is followed for all equipment leaving the company for customer delivery
Planning of Engineer schedule to meet planned delivery dates.
Assigning tasks to engineers as necessary and following up to ensure work is undertaken in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Provide updates to Customer Service Co-ordinators on the progress of their orders as well as estimated delivery dates so they may to arrange external transport.
Co-ordinate and manage leave requests (holiday/sickness) and identify items that are likely to cause an overload of work
Proofreading orders and checking potential stocking issues.
Provide technical specification advice to the sales team.
Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and a safe working environment.
Managing all Health and Safety requirements in the workshop including vehicles/trailers assigned to the workshop.
Responsible for the production, management and physical stock count equipment
Maintain company tools, manuals etc
We are looking for someone with at least 5 years engineering experience within a workshop environment, please.
Knowledge of SAP would be ideal
