Location: Northamptonshire within easy reach of Daventry, Rugby and Northampton
Salary: circa £22,000 – £28,000 but depending on experience and skill level

Interested in working in an R&D type environment dealing with performance vehicles?
This is an excellent position for someone with good programming, operating experience working within a Research & Development / Centre of Excellence machine shop.

We are looking for someone proficient in the programming of CNC lathes and mills (essential)
Experience programming 5-axis CNC lathes (live tooling) is a bonus;
Able to use AutoCAD
The job will involve working closely with the company’s head technician performing on-vehicle measurements and then passing these measurements on for programming and manufacturing of prototypes and eventually into production.
The job will involve implementing new projects, plans and ideas
Collaborating with designs
Writing new programs;
Programming, setting and operation of CNC machine tools
Working with the existing CAM code and then interrogate to deliver improvements
Review and improve prototypes
They want someone to play a leading role in running a team (of 1 at the moment but this will grow over time)
Normal hours of work will be Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5.30pm and Friday 8.30-3.30pm with 30 minutes for lunch
each day. Total 40.5 hours per week.
We are looking for candidates with at least 3 years programming experience within a precision engineering environment.
