National Account Executive (Supporting 2 – 3 Accounts)
This role will also include the sole responsibility of managing a smaller National Account with the support of the National Account Manager
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To support the profitable development of the company’s business with the designated account/s
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
Work with the National Account Manager to achieve and where possible exceed sales value and profit budget requirements.
Support the National Account Manager to deliver strong account plans within your accounts.
Working with the National Account Managers to optimise ranging, pricing, distribution and merchandising priorities by account and according to business unit and brand plans.
Help track and evaluate the delivery of account and brand plans, making recommendations for adjustments to close gaps and maximize opportunities
To manage expenditure in line with agreed budgets.
Lead a cross functional approach internally to ensure sales acts as the pivotal interface between external customer and internal business unit requirements.
Ensure the smooth implementation, execution, and evaluation of all ‘activities’.
Report and Communicate all competitor activity in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner.
To plan, forecast and analyse customer service, internal and external
To manage account administration.
To perform weekly price audits and feedback results to the business
To manage and keep updated a distribution matrix of current and planned listings and distribution.
To manage matters which arise in supply chain whether day to day or developmental
To update weekly price and promotional audits
RELATIONSHIPS & CONTACTS
Externally there will need to be strong contact and relationships for major clients in such areas as buying, supply chain, planning, forecasting and merchandising.
Internally you will be able to work within our business unit structure helping to deliver cross-functional projects as part of a project team.
QUALIFICATIONS and Experience
Degree level or equivalent – Desirable
Knowledge & Skills:
PC literate with good working knowledge of MS Office systems incl. PowerPoint,
Excel, Word, Outlook
Development of account strategies and budgets, and gaining buy in from internal
Attention to detail and ability to manage a varied workload to tight deadlines
Demonstrates creativity to deliver sales activities
Able to use own initiative
Flexible and able to work well under pressure as part of a small team
Receptive and responsive to change
Highly numerate (Inc. P&L financials) with good analytical skills & critical thinking
Dealing in a commercial capacity essential for this role
Ability to define problems
Full UK driving license
Able to work away from home where needed
Salary £30,000 – £35,000 dependent on experience
Location – Daventry
