Our client, a prestigious Rugby based precision engineering company, are looking to recruit a Production Engineer to implement process improvements throughout the site.
Hours: Working on DAYS
Salary: £30,504 + 2 bonus

The successful candidate will implement process improvements and be responsible for engineering issues within the Manufacturing teams
Work within the manufacturing teams and Quality Engineering to resolve product quality issues
Research, analyse and recommend process improvements
Define objectives, plans and lead improvement teams
Support Cell Production Manager in identifying & specifying of new equipment
Commission of new capital equipment
Promote the culture of Lean /Manufacturing tools and techniques to achieve process improvements
Work closely with Cell Leaders and other team members
Evaluate cost savings for improvement activities
Manage sub-contractors if necessary
Prepare and issue engineering drawings
A minimum of HNC mechanical engineering or relevant production experience
Candidates with a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques/Kaizen and or Six-Sigma is required
Sound production engineering knowledge
Working knowledge and experience of modern manufacturing techniques within the aerospace industry
Ability to prepare and issue engineering drawing
You will require
Project management skills
Problem solving techniques
Report writing skills
IOSH Trained (preferred but not essential)
CAD experience required
