Our client is a global engineering company working in a modern manufacturing unit in Rugby. The company are an excellent to work for with a good management team. The company manufacture aerospace, telecommunication, scientific and a wide range of complex engineering products. They are very secure with a full order book. They employ circa 9000 people worldwide and listed on the stock exchange. It’s a good company to work for.
The company are looking to recruit a Production Planner to liaise between the manufacturing, engineering and commercial teams. The main criteria is to ensure products are manufactured and dispatched according to schedule.
The company are looking for someone with experience working within Planning /Work scheduling and with ERP/MRP systems in an engineering environment. Someone with strong analytical and organisational skills specifically focused on material planning and production systems.
They are looking for someone who can set objectives and goals; breaks down work into the process steps; develops schedules and task/people assignments; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks; measures performance against goals; evaluates results.

Plan with the management team to assist in the creation of work schedules, help to achieve improvements to production and improve quality.
Expedite production batches / schedules
Provide information to internal sales
Review and monitor bookings management team
Use capacity planning tools to highlight areas of concern in terms of labour and machinery bottlenecks.
Work with Engineering to review routings and improve timings
Monitor company KPI’s.
