Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Technical Sales Advisor to join their customer-centric sales office team.
This important role will provide phone-based technical hardware support to their customers within this fast-paced department which is responsible for looking after our customer base of fabricators nationwide; processing their product orders, understanding their business needs, driving product sales and delivering industry-leading service alongside our sales team in the field.
The successful candidate may not necessarily have knowledge of this Industry – however, crucially, they will have the ability and desire to get under the skin of it. You will be keen to understand fit and function technicalities of the company products and will have a thirst for growing your knowledge of hardware and profile system combinations.
This customer-focussed role demands first-class listening skills and the ability to be responsive and empathetic, to problem solve and provide customers with solutions, product information and advice. Naturally, you will be methodical, and process driven, building a library of information over time. Most importantly you will have a great attitude and a willingness to learn.
You will receive comprehensive, hands-on product training on-site.
Working in an open plan office with the latest CRM system, the interactive nature of the role will ensure that you’ll never be bored; from telephone customer support, to sales team training, to working cross-functionally with other teams across the business including at the test centre and occasionally in the field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide telephone support to customers – diagnosing issues, advising next steps and offering solutions
Take ownership of technical support calls and the customer experience
View all customer engagement as an opportunity to strengthen the customer relationship
Build a rapport with customers to deliver high quality end-to-end support service
Provide technical product support to the office and field sales teams
Deliver product training to our sales teams to communicate product specification nitty-gritty
Perform technical demonstrations to sales teams to show best practice for hardware installation
Maintain online and offline technical resources such as product database, product training library and TBT Wizard
Provide order processing support to the wider sales office team as required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Understanding of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
First-class telephone skills
Highly self-motivated and can demonstrate initiative
Passionate about customer service and championing the customer
The ability to ask the right questions to provide a hardware ‘triage’ to clarify customer’s needs
A flexible, can-do attitude
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Administration, time-management and organisational skills
Ability to work pro-actively and reactively
Must hold a clean driving licence and be willing to travel occasionally for some aspects of the job which may require
over night stays – i.e. customer visits, training, group company visits etc.
